MATCHING QUESTIONSStraight answers for homeowners and pool companies.
Understand the price, the introduction and who is responsible for the ongoing pool service.
What is The Neighborhood Pool Guy?
TNPG is a referral and matching service that helps homeowners request weekly pool cleaning and connect with an independent local pool service company.
Does TNPG clean my pool?
No. TNPG does not perform or directly sell pool cleaning. The selected independent provider contracts with the homeowner and handles all cleaning, chemicals, scheduling, billing and ongoing service.
How much does pool cleaning cost?
Pricing varies by ZIP code, pool characteristics and local market conditions. TNPG shows the lowest-to-highest comparable monthly prices found in local public research. Once approved partners report pricing for a ZIP, verified partner-reported pricing can replace the research range. The selected provider always confirms the final price and scope.
Does the homeowner pay TNPG?
No. There is no homeowner referral fee and no upfront homeowner payment to TNPG through the matching request.
Am I required to hire the provider?
No. A matching request does not obligate the homeowner to hire a provider.
Is a provider guaranteed to be available?
No. TNPG labels markets active, recruiting or waitlist and does not promise provider availability in every ZIP code.
Who will see my information?
Opportunity previews do not show your name, exact address, phone number or email. Those details are intended to be released only to the one selected independent provider after the authorized exclusive-claim process is complete.
What does a standard weekly package include?
The standard package used for price qualification generally includes weekly cleaning, skimming, accessible basket emptying, brushing, vacuuming as needed, routine water testing and balancing, a visible equipment check and service communication. The provider confirms final scope.
Can I request service for a green pool?
Yes, but green-pool recovery may fall outside routine weekly service. Describe the current condition so the provider can confirm cleanup needs and pricing.
How do pool companies participate?
Companies apply, identify their ZIP coverage, pool capabilities, capacity and pricing, and must be approved before they can claim customer opportunities.
What is the partner claim fee?
A verified company’s first completed eligible claim is free. Later exclusive lead claims cost $29 each, with no subscription or minimum purchase.
Does TNPG guarantee the homeowner will hire me?
No. TNPG sells verified exclusive homeowner requests, not guaranteed sales. Paid claims may qualify for review only when a lead is materially invalid under the published lead-validity policy.
